Established in 2013, Elite Beef is an integrated beef scheme with Woodhead Bros supplying high quality British beef into our supply chain. Through the scheme, cattle are placed on Elite Beef farms as reared calves until finishing, these are then slaughtered at a Woodhead Bros abattoir.

How does the scheme work

Woodhead Bros source and finance consistent batches of quality dairy cross Continental or Native rearing/reared calves to farmers nationwide. As part of the agreement, cattle are not only financed but also provided with an underwritten price guarantee at slaughter.

We understand all farms are different, therefore we cater for all farming systems, including rearer finishers, grower (B&B) and grower finishers. Please select our schemes page for more information about the range of available contracts.
